Why Story telling?

Reading aloud or Telling Stories may be one of the most important contributions that we as parents or teachers can make toward developing good character in our children. Why?
Story-telling is the most entertaining and inspiring way to promote healthy growth of development of a child physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Psychologists have promoted the positive effects of reading and telling children stories for decades. Stories are found to stimulate the imaginations and thinking power of a child. It is a particularly good way to teach children realistic thinking, as stories can show children how people realistically solve their problems. Stories can create emotional attachment to goodness, a desire to do the right thing. They also provide a wealth of good examples – the kind of examples that are often missing from a child’s day to day environment. Stories familiarize youngsters with the codes of conduct they need to know. Finally, because stories help to make sense out of life.

So write to us and tell us which stories are your child’s favourite and get our recommendations as well.
